Ignite Vice One v1.0 VST AU WIN MAC CM Edition [FREE]
0 MBVice One is a virtual analog style compressor, inspired by old hardware tube compressors. It is not modelled on any particular analog compressor, but rather it is our own unique design.
We wanted to have the look and sound of an old analog compressor without restricting ourselves to recreating a particular model or brand. Being virtual analog means you can expect â€ËÅ“colourationââ‚ ¬â• and added â€ËÅ“warmthâ€ââââ €š¬¢ to your sound, hence Vice One is particularly well suited for use on drums, vocals and bass. Vice One works equally well on the master channel as a limiter/maximizer.
Input Gain
Increase the signal level before the compression.
Analog/digital modes
Analog mode changes the response of the attack/release and soft knee mimicking a tube compressor. Analog mode also adds extra colouration to the sound that is dependant on the input gain. Digital mode has a faster response and less colouration.
Soft/Hard knee modes
A soft knee begins to compress the signal gradually around the threshold, while a hard knee will compress as soon as the signal reaches the threshold.
Threshold
Level at which the compression will start.
Ratio
The amount of attenuation to be applied from the threshold.
Attack
Attack is the time it takes the signal to become fully compressed.
Release
Release is the time it takes to go back to a non-compressed signal.
VU Meters
Input/Output meter gives the level in decibels for the input(non-compressed) and output (compressed) signals. The Gain reduction meter shows how much the signal is being reduced by.
Look Ahead
This delays the input signal. This gives the compressor more time to react, ensuring no peaks go above the threshold. Useful for limiting.
Saturation
Adds more â€ËÅ“colourâ€ââââ €š¬¢ to the signal.
Makeup Gain
Boost the output level after the compression.
Bypass
Useful to quickly check what difference the compression is making to the original signal.

WiN86x: 152.01 MB | WiN64x: 152.5 MB | MAC.OSX: 194.86 MB darbuka-nut is a free percussion sound module developed by Volko Audio, featuring the sounds of a nut darbuka (aka goblet drum). The instrument is released as a free VST/AU/RTAS plugin for Windows and Mac OS X based plugin hosts.
The instrument is based on a 300 MB collection of goblet drum samples, with several round robins for each sampled articulation. There are eleven articulations in total, ranging from C1 to F2 notes on the keyboard (white keys only).
The samples can be triggered manually if you want to create your own rhythms, however the users who don’t like programming percussion sequences will definitely regard the fact that the plugin also includes a bank of 27 percussion grooves. These grooves can be played inside the instrument itself (by clicking the START button), but you can also use simple drag & drop controls to copy the desired MIDI file to your host application’s sequencer. The MIDI files can also be exported to desktop (using drag & drop), which is pretty neat.
The included samples sound very good and building your own custom rhythms is surprisingly easy. The raw sound of the recorded hits can be enhanced using the built-in reverb module (which sounds surprisingly nice) and the limiter which is paired up with a handy gain make-up knob.
You definitely shouldn’t pass this one if you need some world percussion sounds for your home studio. It is a fantastic freeware instrument, offering a neat combo of high quality darbuka samples and ultimate ease of use.
The plugin is completely free to download and use, even in commercial projects. Please note that you’ll need to register and activate your free copy of the plugin. You can still use the plugin before activation, but a nag screen will pop up from time to time asking you to register. The registration process is completely free, of course.
To register your free copy of darbuka-nut, sign up for a free user account at the Volko Audio website, log in to your user account and then click the BUY NOW button on the product page linked below. The product will be added to your user account. Now, click the MY ACCOUNT button, go to MY PRODUCTS and click the “Send my license information†link.
